Today was one of those breathtaking days here in Iceland. It’s Autumn, there is more than a slight chill in the air and the sun is getting lower on the horizon
Below are some pics from a bike ride to Elliðavatn along with a bunch of mushrooms I found along the way. Apologies for the bad quality of the photos, I forgot my camera and used my crappy cell phone.
Oh yeah and I saw lots of cute bunnies, that was nice

I have been debating where to move for the past few months (Seattle or Portland) after my visa expires and I finally decided on Portland Oregon. So raise your glass for that one!
Not an easy decision but everyone I spoke with leaned towards Portland, and the city looks to have a lot of what I am looking for. Only downside, it is not on the ocean.
I am already getting all misty-eyed about leaving Iceland, but I hope to return for some extended summer vacations and who knows I may live here again.
Moving will happen around Sept 30. Fun! fun!

I made it to the Salmon River today, absolutely amazing!!! And I saw a bunny! My poor (broken but healing) toes are not too happy, even with them taped. Below is the map of the route, photos will come later.

I went on a bike ride today to an area of Reykjavik that I have never been too before. I still have not started back running yet, taking it easy on my two broken toes.
I was heading to Ellidaar, a very clean salmon river that runs through an area of the city. But I got completely distracted by this beautiful valley. And right in the middle were a huge amount of allotments, and they looked to be growing all manner of veggies.
